A magazine for college students should be free of charge, and should include all information about whats new with the staff and students and other things they may need to know about. The main cover of the magazine should include an eye catching title and main image that will relate to the target audience, which is all ages throughout the college.
The language throughout will be informal to relate more to the target audience. As well as a vibrant front page, the magazine must also have a contents page so the audience know what to expect to be reading about inside. It should include a various amount of images, as it will make the text more understandable if the text is confusing for them. Images also make the magazine look more presentable and interesting to read.
The magazine should relate to both male and female students, following up stories of any clubs or extra curriculum activities that are going on, and shows that there is loads of different areas of interests for all students to read up on. News stories about the college, new equipment or facilities should also be kept up to date if there is to be any changes.
If theres a selection of different interests in the magazine, students will be able to find something that interests them and will want to read the next issue to keep up to date and read on about the certain part that interests them.
As well as all the articles and up to date news stories, the magazine must also include puzzles and games and things that will be fun to do in any spare time. They can be educational games which will help educate the students but in a not so serious way. Using personal pronouns is also important to make the readers feel more involved and as if its been spoken directly to them and as if they are important to the college community.
